GENERAL
You can be forgiven for feeling a little flat as you move into the New Year, with your energies low and your morale still likely to be linked to last year’s challenges. With Mars in retrograde motion in your sign and Mercury in retrograde motion in your work sector, this is not only likely to see you low on energy, but your vision of the future blocked by the glare of last year’s challenges, especially on the financial front. Yet this has nothing to do with reality, for 2010 holds a huge amount of work opportunities and a complete turnaround on the financial front. Mercury turns direct in your work sector on the 16th January, just a day after a solar eclipse opens the door to new beginnings and just as you begin to adjust to Mars’ retrograde pace. This means that you're likely to be bouncing back by mid January. It’s on the 18th January that Jupiter, planet of luck moves into your financial sector, turning last year’s challenges into new opportunities and sowing the seeds for a comeback that will take a few twists and turns during the course of the year, but is on an upward trajectory. There will even be an opportunity to gain from the past in the middle months of the year or to finally be financially compensated for the hard work and effort of the past. There isn’t a moment in 2010 that your work sector won’t be active, so regardless of how much or little movement there has been and is at the start of the year, expect some real surprises this year, especially up until the 10th February, around the 26th June and again in December. It’s mid year that there may be an opportunity to travel or spread your wings, especially between the 6th June and the 9th September. You'll do well this year if you remain mentally focused and use your mind as your rudder.

LOVE
There is some tidying up to do on the relationship front in the first few days of 2010, which could be creating some urgency. Jupiter, planet of luck leaves your relationship sector on the 18th January, not to return for another 12 years and knowing that he’ll never again meet up here with Neptune and Chiron, the planets of dreams and healing, he is going to extreme lengths to ensure that the past is resolved and laid to rest, allowing you to commit to your most outrageous fantasies. It’s the relationship desires and expectations that Jupiter leaves you with, that regardless of your current relationship situation, will determine what the future holds, with Neptune remaining in your relationship sector for the whole of 2010, not leaving until February 2012. It’s after Jupiter leaves that the Sun, Mercury and Venus arrive, working to gain as many relationship advantages as possible, from the 19th January through to the 2nd March, peaking during the New Moon on the 14th February, which is this year’s Chinese New Year. With most of the romantic opportunities for the year not arriving until Mars reaches your romantic sector on the 28th October, from which point it will remain active for the rest of the year, your Venus return is the stepping stone between the relationship forces at the start of the year and the romantic forces at the end. Venus, planet of love will be in your sign from the 14th June to the 10th July and it’s then that you’ll review your romantic expectations for the coming year, as well as creating some mid year romantic opportunities. With Jupiter no longer in your relationship sector, this is the year when you get to enjoy all that you've worked for and towards, during 2009.

MONEY
There is no doubt that 2009 was a challenging financial year. This was caused by an opposition between Uranus, moving through your financial sector and Saturn, moving through your income sector. While neither created any real problems on their own and both offered real advantages and opportunities, the problem came from the fact that they were in opposition and in each other’s way. Saturn couldn’t get on with the job of creating wealth and Uranus couldn’t get on with the job of inspiring new financial ideas and concepts. 2010 however sees a complete reversal of fortunes, in the best possible way. With Saturn no longer in your income sector Uranus is no longer under pressure, but the real opportunities arrive on the 18th January when Jupiter, planet of luck moves into your financial sector, for the first time since he left in February 1999. Jupiter visits your financial sector once every 11 to 12 years and when he does, he creates your luckiest financial year in a decade, but the last time Jupiter had Uranus’ support was in 1928, 82 years ago, making 2010 one of your biggest and most expansive financial years ever, when almost anything is possible. Both Uranus and Jupiter will leave your financial sector mid year, with Uranus leaving on the 28th May and Jupiter on the 6th June. They both return though, Uranus on the 14th August and Jupiter on the 9th September. It’s in those middle months that something remarkable happens, for on the 8th April Saturn returns to your income sector, returning for a 15 weeks double dip. Jupiter and Uranus will still be in your financial sector so there will be some financial tension, with Saturn opposing both planets. Yet where there is pressure there is opportunity and once Jupiter leaves your financial sector on the 6th June, Saturn will reveal exactly what he’s back for and without pressure, from then until the 22nd July he’ll bring some of your most powerful income weeks in decades. This is a ‘smash and grab’ period, where you have to get in, do what needs to be done and get out. Yet it’s what Saturn begins that will put things in motion that will take months to play out, with income opportunities continuing to open up right through to the 4th October. While July and August are likely to be the most lucrative months, a New Moon in your income sector on the 8th September could open even more doors.

BUSINESS
There isn’t a moment in 2010 that your work sector won’t be active making this one of your busiest and most productive years for a long time, but also a year that is likely to define your experiences for decades to come. For the second year Pluto, planet of change and revolution will spend the whole year in your work sector, something that he’ll continue to do until he leaves in November 2028, making this your new normal. Pluto is calling for change and for a continual evolvement to take place, but while he spent the whole of 2009 here and will be here for another 14 years, 2010 is likely to be your defining year. That’s because the North Node will spend the whole of 2010 in your work sector, having arrived in August 2009 and due to leave in March 2011. As well as setting the scene for a series of eclipses, which are destined to create major turning points, the North Node provides a stable and accurate sense of direction. The first eclipse is a solar eclipse in your work sector on the 14th January and with the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Pluto and the North Node all there for support, this has the potential to open some major new doors or put you on an auspicious new path, with a lunar eclipse on the 26th June bringing a lot of things to a head. November is an especially auspicious month for work matters, for this is when Pluto’s call for change aligns with the North Node’s clear sense of direction and the element of fate this creates. It’s matters on the work front that dominate the year, but it’s from the 1st April to the 26th May, peaking on the 14th May, that there is a chance to address things on the career front and seize opportunities. This is likely to be an especially auspicious period, just slightly less than 2 months, for career and professional matters, giving you a chance to establish your long term goals and put things on the right path.
